Middletown Special Olympics

This year, Middletown City Schools hosted the 47th Annual Middletown Special Olympics at Barnitz Stadium. It was a pleasure to attend, with students from our local schools coming out to compete in various track-and-field style events.

The students kicked off the morning with a parade and Team FasTrax jumped into Barnitz with the American flag. After that, the students participated in different events such as the 100-meter dash, softball toss, soccer, and more.

They also had the opportunity to meet fellow students who would typically be at a different school and local public safety officers as well.

We couldn’t have asked for a better morning for the kids to get out and play. Thank you to Middletown City Schools for putting on such a great event!
