Keep Middletown Beautiful hosted the 2017 Middletown Earth Day Community Cleanup over the weekend, and we couldn’t thank all of the volunteers who came out enough!
Together, we had 300 volunteers working together to clean up our great city at 35 different sites in honor of Earth Day. We had groups of volunteers all over the city, working together to pull weeds, paint fire hydrants, poles, etc., mulch the parks, pick up trash — you name it, our volunteers were hard at work Saturday morning to get it done.
We also had on-site paper shredding – we ended up shredding 2,094 pounds of paper!
It’s because of community members like these volunteers that we were able to have a fun and successful Earth Day cleanup. Thank you to all of the volunteers for giving their time to us on Saturday morning, and thank you to Keep Middletown Beautiful for putting together such a great event!
If you are interested in volunteering more with Keep Middletown Beautiful in the future, check out their page here. Keep Middletown Beautiful accepts volunteers year-round to clean up “bright spots” in Middletown, and they are accepting volunteers for the Great Miami River Cleanup taking place on October 28.
