Community Center Evening Program Update

As we head into the holidays and the new year, I wanted to share updates to the Robert Sonny Hill Community Center’s evening programming with you…

Adolescents Community Treatment Services (ACTS) – Mon & Wed 7p-9p Age: 13-17

This program is designed to help youth meet mandated community service hours. ACTS is a comprehensive life and social skills program that covers anger management, decision making, prioritizing, communication, job readiness, and financial management. Youth are encouraged to give back to the community. This year, three baskets were given to families in need. JDC, schools and parents can make referral. Community service hours are not necessary to participate.

Child Development Associate program (CDA) Mon & Wed 6:30p-9p Adults

This program is offered by 4C for Children. CDA is the most widely-recognized credential in early education and the only nationally-recognized, portable competency-based credential of its kind.  This nine-month program is the first step toward career advancement in early education. This is the first time the CDA program has been offered in Middletown through 4C.  The Community Center was chosen because of its convenient location.  Persons interested in enrolling should contact 4C For Children, 800-256-1296.
