This Week in Middletown (December 5 – December 11)

It’s Christmas time in Middletown!   Lots of events over the next few weeks to see and do and shop!

Light Up Middletown will be operating each night throughout December from 6:00pm – 10:00pm at Smith Park.  If you haven’t visited us before, Light Up Middletown is a fantasy drive-thru light display for the whole family. Admission is free, although donations are accepted. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for photos on Friday and Saturday evenings.

 75th Peal Harbor Remembrance Talk | 6:00pm
Miami University Middltetown – Verity Lodge
 

Verity Traditions will be hosting a talk entitled Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941: The US entry into the Second World War on Tuesday, December 6 at 6 p.m. in Verity Lodge on the Middletown campus. David Shortt, CWO, US Army Retired and the Curator of the regionally acclaimed Veterans Memorial Museum Foundation, will present on the Japanese attack 75 years ago at Pearl Harbor, concentrating on the tactical details of the attack, and local connections to the Miami Valley, including servicemen who were present during the attack. There will also be a display featuring historical artifacts and relics pertaining to Pearl Harbor for public viewing and discussion. Refreshments will be available before the program.

Elf the Musical| Will be performed at 3:00p.m. at the Middletown Performing Arts Academy, 4400 Lewis Street, Middletown, Ohio.

Central Connections (3907 Central Ave.) is hosting a weekly brunch from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

MENU:
Coconut French toast, Pancakes, Blintzes, Home fries, Polish sausage and peppers, Thick-cut smoked bacon, Scrambled eggs, Fried apples, Biscuits and sausage gravy, Fresh fruit, Yogurt and cottage cheese, Assorted muffins, Assorted pastries, Bagels with cream cheese

Cost is:

· adults–$13.95 per person.
· children ages 4 to 12–$7.95 per child.
· children age 3 and under eat free.

The following drinks are included with brunch; (coffee, orange juice, iced sweet tea, and water). Soda pop is $2 per person with free refills.
