This Week In Middletown (August 8- August 14)

The summer fun continues in Middletown.  If you are looking for something to do to get out of the house and be active in your community next week, take a look at these options!

The Middletown Arts Center continues their exhibition all week exploring contemporary still-life entitled, “Still Alive.” Organized by Cincinnati-based independent curator Maria Seda-Reeder, the show features the work of more than a dozen artists working in various disciplines. There will be gallery talks and workshops by participating artists throughout the run of the show, which closes August 18th.

National Night Out

Next Wednesday, August 10th is Broad Street Bash night downtown.  The date is an add- on make-up date featuring blues and jazz..  The event is family friendly and free with music starting at 5:30 p.m. on Governor’s Square.   Bring  your lawn chair, grab at bite to eat at one of the downtown restaurants and enjoy the music!    For information on Broad Street Bash, click on the link: http://www.longlivethebash.com/

Next Friday, August 12th has multiple events.

Movies in the Park will be shown at Douglass and Jacot Parks this week.  Douglass Park’s movie will be Monsters University with New Life Community Church of Middletown providing refreshments.  Jacot Park will show Despicable Me 2 with Vineyard Cincinnati Middletown providing refreshments.

The Takin’ it to the Streets concert series will feature Powerglide at 8 p.m. downtown. The concerts are located on Broad Street between Central Avenue  and Reynolds Street.

Next Sunday August 14th

Central Connections’  will host a Sunday Breakfast Brunch Buffet | 10:00am – 2:00pm

  MENU:Coconut French toast, Pancakes, Blintzes, Home fries, Polish sausage and peppers,  Thick-cut smoked bacon, Scrambled eggs, Fried apples, Biscuits and sausage gravy, Fresh fruit, Yogurt and cottage cheese, Assorted muffins,  Assorted pastries, and Bagels with cream cheese.The Cost is:
· adults–$13.95 per person.
· children ages 4 to 12–$7.95 per child.
· children age 3 and under eat free.The following drinks are included with brunch; (coffee, orange juice, iced sweet tea, and water). Soda pop is $2 per person with free refills.
