I had the honor of attending the Back to School Bash, hosted by the Community Building Institute of Middletown, at Douglass Park on Saturday. There were so many great organizations all working to get our kids ready for school next week. I’d like to thank all of the groups and organizations that took part in the event.
I’d like to give a special thanks to Marsh Supermarket on University. During the event, the food providers ran short on hamburger and hot dog buns to accommodate the great crowds. I offered to make the run to get more buns.
Marsh Supermarket not only supplied the needed buns, but they donated all 300 hot dog buns and 175 hamburger buns needed for the event in support of the school district and the city residents.
Thank you so much to Marsh Supermarket for their generosity, and to all of our local businesses who support us every day in Middletown.
