Planning continues for the Middletown Independence Day Parade themed “America’s Great People” which will be held this year on July 2, 2016, beginning with the lineup for the parade at 9:00 am on South Verity Parkway between Lafayette and 14th Avenues and ending at Smith Park.

Next will be a Free Kid’s Fishing Derby , Hosted by GO FISH Bait Shop held at the Smith Park pond , starting at 11:00, then moving to the grand stand for prizes at 2:30 p.m. The City will be stocking the pond with fish for the event!  Our goal is to give every participant a free rod and reel. When the sun starts to set, we’ll be watching a pyrotechnic skydiving jump from Team FasTrax and listing to live music from Rick Derringer. Finally, we’ll enjoy the 2nd Annual Broad Street Blast fireworks to end an amazing Independence Day in Middletown!

What Better way to start the 4th of July weekend then here at home in Middletown!!!! No parking fees or admission fee to Smith Park that day !
